ScoliScore™ AIS Prognostic Test Specimen Collection Instructions
Instructions: We suggest that the healthcare provider use gloves when collecting the saliva specimen. The patient should not eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum for 30 minutes prior to giving the saliva sample.
- Have patient spit into the OG-300 collection kit until the amount of liquid saliva (not bubbles) reaches the fill line. Finish spitting within 30 minutes.
- Hold container upright. Close funnel with big cap. When closed, liquid in the big cap will be released to mix with the saliva.
- Hold container upright. Unscrew funnel from tube (by twisting counter-clockwise).
- Close tube with small cap.
- Mix 5 times by shaking. Throw out funnel and big cap.
User tips:- Do not remove plastic film from the big cap.
- To make more saliva, close your mouth and wiggle your tongue or rub your cheeks.
- Some people find it hard to spit enough saliva. It is easier to spit more if you place a ½ tsp. of plain white sugar on your tongue.

ScoliScore™ AIS Prognostic Test Report Results
The results of the ScoliScore™ AIS Prognostic Test assay are available within 2 - 3 weeks from the date the saliva sample is sent to our lab in the specimen collection and transportation kit.
Reports will be delivered by overnight mail to the treating physician and/or other authorized healthcare providers.
