ScoliScore™ AIS Prognostic Test
Now, there is a predictive test for children diagnosed with Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) that provides increased peace of mind for patients, their families, and health care providers. This new molecular based test is called, ScoliScore™ AIS Prognostic Test.
ScoliScore™ is a clinically validated, multi-gene test that provides a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the likelihood of spinal curve progression for patients who have been diagnosed with AIS. The ScoliScore™ is leading the way to individualized scoliosis treatment by providing patient-specific information that is used to help health care providers optimize treatment plans.
The ScoliScore™ AIS Prognostic Test is intended for patients:
- With a primary diagnosis of (AIS)
- Between the ages of 9 and 13 years old
- With a mild scoliotic curve (defined as <25°)
- Of Caucasian ethnicity (North American, South American, European, Eastern European, Middle Eastern)
The same pioneering, molecular research and product development that has been instrumental in developing the ScoliScore™ AIS Prognostic Test has also provided the foundation for other prognostic tests which are currently under development.
